Hashiba

Your old Palm eBooks and iSilo documents, readable again on your Android phone, looking the way they were made to look.

THE BOOKS YOU ALREADY HAVE

Hashiba opens .pdb files: iSilo documents made by older and newer versions of iSiloX, and PalmDOC eBooks. Pick them with the file picker, or open one from your file manager with “Open with”. Each book is copied into the app, so it stays in your library.

FORMATTING KEPT INTACT

• Text styles: colours, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, superscript and subscript.
• Layout: font sizes, paragraph alignment and spacing, and bulleted and nested lists.
• Pictures shown where they sit in the book.
• Tables, including nested tables and cell colours. Wide tables scroll sideways.

LINKS THAT WORK

• Links inside a book jump straight to the right place.
• Back and Forward take you through where you have been, and Home returns you to the start.
• Web, email and phone links open in the app that handles them.

COMFORTABLE READING

• Swipe to turn pages.
• Tap the page to hide the toolbars and read full screen.
• Make the text bigger or smaller with A− and A+.
• Dark mode, with the book’s colours adjusted to stay readable.
• Every book reopens where you stopped reading.

CHINESE AND OTHER LANGUAGES

The text encoding is detected automatically. If a book looks garbled, choose another from the menu: UTF-8, Traditional Chinese (Big5), Simplified Chinese (GBK), Japanese (Shift_JIS) or Western (Windows-1252).

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
